Every central government job, on one map.

Group A, B, C and D - what the letters mean
The Government of India classifies its civil posts by responsibility and pay level. The group tells you how senior a job is - not which exam leads to it.
Three bodies, one standard for the country
How does one become an IAS officer, a District Collector or an IPS officer?
All of them come from one exam - the UPSC Civil Services Examination. It has three stages, and the final rank decides the service.

Is the question paper the same in every state?
Yes - RRB, SSC and UPSC exams are central exams: the syllabus, pattern and marking are the same for the whole country. Exams held over many days give each shift its own paper of the same pattern, and the marks are normalised across shifts. State government jobs (State Public Service Commissions, state police) are different: each state has its own exams, with its own history, geography and language papers.
In which language can I write the exam?
UPSC exams and SSC CGL and CPO are in English and Hindi. SSC MTS, GD Constable and CHSL are also offered in 13 regional languages, Kannada among them, and the Railways' computer-based tests in 15 languages (English sections stay in English). The official notice of each exam lists its languages.
Where do I apply?
Only on the official websites: ssc.gov.in for SSC, upsc.gov.in for UPSC, and the official RRB recruitment portal for the Railways. Applying is never done through a coaching site - and no one can sell you a job.
Is Ekalix connected with RRB, SSC or UPSC?
No. Ekalix Academy is an independent education platform. We explain the exams and help you prepare; recruitment, results and appointments are only by the recruiting body.
Will the packs have previous years' questions?
Our questions are original, written in the pattern of each exam and checked twice. Official question papers and answer keys, where a body publishes them, are on its own website.
When do the packs open?
The RRB pack comes first, then SSC, then UPSC (NDA and CDS first). Press "Tell me when it opens" on a pack and we email you the day it does - with its free taste and its price.
Ekalix Academy is an independent education platform and is not connected with the Railway Recruitment Boards, the Staff Selection Commission, the Union Public Service Commission or the Government of India. Posts, eligibility, age limits, stages and vacancies change with each recruitment - confirm every detail in the official notice before you apply.
