Privacy policy

This policy explains how Ekalix ("Ekalix", "we", "us") handles personal data when you use ekalix.com, create an account, contact us, apply to Ekalix Academy or buy from us. Questions are welcome at sales@ekalix.com.

What we collect

Account details - your name, email address and password. Passwords are kept only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider; we never see them.
Messages and requests - what you send through our forms: name, email, company, the product you ask about and your message.
Internship applications - name, email, phone, college, course, preferred track, dates, the links you share and what you tell us about yourself.
Payments - the plan, the amount, and the order and payment references. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and are never stored by us.
Technical data - IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept briefly in security logs by our hosting provider to protect the site.

Why we use it

To reply to you, and to provide demos, trials, quotes and support.
To run your account and show you your requests, applications and payments.
To assess internship applications and contact applicants.
To take payments, issue invoices and meet our tax and accounting duties.
To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time; on what is needed to provide what you asked for; and on our legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who helps us

We use a small number of trusted service providers, who process data only on our instructions:

Cloudflare - hosting, content delivery and security for ekalix.com.
Supabase - our database and account sign-in.
Razorpay - payment processing.
Zoho - our email.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. Where they do, it is protected with the safeguards that applicable law requires.

How long we keep it

Messages and requests: up to 24 months after our last contact with you.
Internship applications: up to 12 months after a decision, unless you ask us to keep your application for future openings.
Payment and invoice records: as long as tax law requires.
Accounts: until you ask us to delete yours.

Cookies and local storage

We use no advertising or tracking cookies. When you log in, your browser keeps a sign-in token in its local storage so that you stay logged in; logging out removes it. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from abuse.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. Write to sales@ekalix.com from the email address concerned and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or to the data protection authority where you live.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Our database uses row-level security, so each account can see only its own records, and only authorised Ekalix staff can see applications and requests.

Children

Our services are meant for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18 and want to apply to Ekalix Academy, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us first.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell account holders about important changes by email.
